A unique patchwork wall hanging created by Melbourne’s child survivors with the theme of Remembrance.
In 2014, Melbourne’s child survivors of the Holocaust created a time capsule to commemorate their organisation’s history.
‘Tribute: Child Survivors of the Holocaust’ shows the lives of child survivors through the medium of a painted portrait and a sketch of the sitter as a young child.
Items from the Melbourne Holocaust Museum collection from the Kindertransport (Children’s Transport) which was the informal name of a series of rescue efforts which brought thousands of refugee Jewish children to Great Britain from Nazi Germany between 1938 and 1940.
