Dutch hero who saved Jewish children honoured

The Melbourne Holocaust Museum recently held a ceremony of recognition to mark the inordinate act of courage of Mrs Constance Koster, a 95-year-old Melbourne-based Dutch woman. Mrs Koster’s story is remarkable.

As a young girl serving in the Dutch underground, she smuggled many Jewish babies and children to safety during the Nazi occupation.

We were delighted that that the Dutch Ambassador to Australia, Her Excellency Mrs Annemieke Ruigrok, was able to attend the ceremony along with many other distinguished guests, and Mrs Koster’s family and friends.
