Dr Ann Wolner, Lawyer and Child Psychologist
“International Child Abduction”
Dr Ann Wollner is lawyer and child psychologist with special interests in trauma, children and education. She is senior Counsel at International Social Service Australia and specializes in international parental child abduction. She also runs a private child psychology practice.
Ann has a Doctorate in child clinical psychology and a Masters of Law. She is experienced in family, commercial and property law and is a trained collaborative lawyer. She is a member of the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia and sits on the Child and Youth Issues Committee of Law Institute of Victoria. She is also a member of the Australian Psychological Society, Australian Jewish Psychologists and the JCCV’s Youth Alcohol Project. Ann is a life governor of Mount Scopus College and a past president.
Ann has lectured at the University of Melbourne in law and has practised law and psychology in the private and public sectors. She has worked in a number of government Child & Mental Health Services, and at the Centre for Adolescent Health in the Royal Children’s Hospital. Ann has published articles and given presentations relating to international parental child abduction, family violence and child abuse.
