Public Lecture: Dr David Silberklang

Guest Speaker: Dr David Silberklang, Senior Historian, International Institute for Holocaust Research at Yad Vashem will give a lecture on “What Don’t We Know? Unanswered Questions from the Holocaust”.

Dr David Silberklang, in Australia as guest of the NSW Jewish Board of Deputies, is senior research historian at Yad Vashem, editor of the Yad Vashem Studies journal and series editor of the Holocaust Survivors’ Memoirs Project.

A lecturer at universities in Jerusalem, and Haifa, Dr Silberklang, a pre-eminent international Holocaust scholar, has also served as visiting professor at Tel Aviv University and Case Western Reserve University.

Dr Silberklang’s presentation, proudly presented by the Melbourne Holocaust Museum, the MHM Foundation and the Australian Friends of Yad Vashem, will address still-open questions emerging from the Holocaust, among them issues relating to perpetrators, Jewish reactions and several seemingly imponderables emerging from the Shoah.
