Film Screening: Remember Belsen

The Melbourne Holocaust Museum invites you to a screening of Remember Belsen, a documentary capturing the horror which confronted British and Canadian liberators at Bergen-Belsen concentration camp in April 1945.

Remember Belsen focuses on the liberation of the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp on 15 April 1945. The documentary features eyewitness accounts by five Jewish survivors, the cameraman who filmed its harrowing images, and the Australian war artist who was the first to record the horrors of Belsen with his art.

The screening will be followed by a Q&A with the film’s director, Frank Shields.

Remember Belsen is dedicated to Australian war artist Alan Moore, and all victims, survivors, liberators, medical staff and media personnel who revealed this window into the Holocaust to the world.
