Guest Speaker: Dr Gideon Greif on “Death Factory Auschwitz and the Sonderkammando”.

Dr Greif is Professor of Jewish and Israeli History at the Schusterman Center for Jewish Studies, University of Texas, and Chief Historian and Researcher at Israel’s ‘Shem Olam’ – Holocaust and Faith  Institute for Education, Documentation and Research.

He has interviewed 31 survivors of the Sonderkommando, whose testimonies about the death industry in Auschwitz-Birkenau is considered the most important documentation on the Holocaust, the “Final Solution” and Auschwitz-Birkenau.  He is considered a leading international authority on Auschwitz-Birkenau.
