The Centre will mark Harmony day with a range of activities, among them a screening of the documentary, Facing Arthur, followed by a panel discussion.
Guides will be available throughout the day, and Holocaust survivors will recount their experiences at specially-designated sessions.
Facing Arthur, a film directed by Dave Goldberg depicting the fascinating interactions between a young German student and a 100 year old New York-based Holocaust survivor, will be screened at 6.15pm. After the movie, a panel of academics and specialists in Holocaust-based films, together with a Holocaust survivor, will discuss the themes, implications and nuances of the documentary. Panel entry by donation.
