The Holocaust As Reflected in Diaries and Memoirs

The Melbourne Holocaust Museum together with The Florence Melton Adult Mini School is excited to share with you our new course commencing in July 2011.

The Holocaust As Reflected in Diaries and Memoirs will encourage Students to explore first-person accounts in diaries and memoirs uncovered in the years since the Holocaust, and gain remarkable insights into the struggle for life as both young and old writers describe day-to-day life, coping in the ghettoes, imprisonment in the death camps, hiding on the run, and fighting for their lives. These are unforgettable images that help us understand the real events of the Holocaust and its legacy for us today.

We are delighted to welcome Ricki Mainzer who is a high school history teacher at Leibler Yavneh College, and who participated last year in the March of the Living program as ceremonies co-coordinator and educator. Ricki has completed courses in education at the Yad Vashem International School for Holocaust Studies.

To enroll in a course, please send us an email with your name, address, phone contact and course preference. We will contact you to confirm your place.
