MHM Screening: ‘The Australian Dream’

The Melbourne Holocaust Museum will holding a special film screening of the new documentary The Australian Dream.

The Australian Dream is a documentary that uses the remarkable and inspirational story of Indigenous AFL legend Adam Goodes as the prism through which to tell a deep and powerful story about race, identity and belonging.

There will be a Q&A session following the film hosted by Professor Yin Paradies. Professor Paradies is a Wakaya (Aboriginal) man who is Chair in Race Relations and Indigenous Knowledge and Culture Coordinator at Deakin University. He conducts interdisciplinary research on the health, social and economic effects of racism as well as anti-racism theory, policy and practice across diverse settings, including workplaces, schools, universities, housing, the arts, and health.

The Melbourne Holocaust Museum acknowledges the Traditional Owners of country throughout Australia and recognises their continuing connection to land, waters and community. We pay our respects to them and their cultures; and to elders both past and present.
