MHM Social Club guest speaker, Idan Goldberger, UIA Shaliach will be giving a lecture on “Idan Goldberger’s Journey: From IDF Combat Soldier to UIA Shaliach”.
During his service as a staff sergeant in the Israel Defence Force, Israeli-born UIA Executive Director, Idan Goldberger, was critically injured, shot in the head by a sniper.
Idan will share with us his personal story of rehabilitation – a long and arduous road.
A graduate of Tel Aviv University, Idan holds a master’s degree in Contemporary Middle Eastern and African Studies. Before his appointment to the UIA-Keren Hayesod in Melbourne, he worked in the south of Israel, experiencing first-hand life under the threat of constant rocket fire.
Idan is currently involved in key UIA projects to support Holocaust survivors living in Israel.
