Guest Speaker: Michael Cohen, MHM Community Relations Coordinator will give a lecture on ‘Stories from My Visits to Jewish Communities in South-East Asia and the Far East’.
Michael Cohen, Community Relations Coordinator at the Melbourne Holocaust Museum, has been involved in Jewish education and Jewish communal life for several decades and has held senior positions with a number of Jewish organisations and at Jewish day schools in Cape Town and Melbourne.
During the 1980s Michael served as Executive Director of the Asia-Pacific Jewish Assocation and worked iwth Jewish communities in the Philippines, Japan, Taiwan, Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong and elswhere.
He has some interesting, amusing – and unusual – stories to tell.
