Morris Gleitzman is the bestselling multi-award-winning Australian children’s author of over 30 books and is loved by children around the world. His series about a Jewish boy in Nazi-occupied Poland, comprising the titles Once, Then, Now and After, has sold more than 200,000 copies in Australia and 150,000 in the UK. Once is published in ten different languages, including Chinese, Italian and Slovenian.
Morris will be in conversation with Michelle Prawer, who is the Victorian Judge for the Children’s Book Council of Australia ‘Book of the Year’ Awards for 2012 and 2013.
Morris will discuss researching and writing of his Holocaust-related books, and exploring the issues around presenting this subject matter to young people.
There will be a Q&A with Morris at the at the conclusion of the ‘In Conversation’ session.
Copies of Morris’ books will be available for purchase and signing by the author.
