Guest Speaker: Nina Bassat AM, President of the Jewish Community Council of Victoria on “Jewish communities, local, national and international”.
Nina Bassat AM is currently President of the Jewish Community Council of Victoria, having also occupied the JCCV presidency some 15 years ago. She has served as President of the Executive Council of Australian Jewry, the country’s peak communal body, and as a board member of the Claims Conference, and is currently a board member of the Memorial Foundation of Jewish Culture. Nina has been involved in several other communal organisations locally and internationally.
Born in Lwow, Poland, Nina Bassat is a child survivor of the Holocaust. She has three children, 11 grandchildren and has worked for many years in her private legal practice.
