Shaynee Cullen has worked with refugees for 31 years.
Shaynee has worked with refugees for 31 years, and lectured in the Sociological Perspective of the Novel and Australian Film at tertiary level. She has been employed by the Federal Government to work with refugees in industry working with firms like Dunlop and G.M.H.
21 years ago she established a Science Department at an ‘on arrival’ school, where she worked with refugee teenagers, preparing them for school, she also taught E.S.L. classes, organized multi-cultural concerts and ran holiday camps for refugee children. She has been a guest lecturer at Monash and Melbourne Universities.
