The Melbourne Holocaust Museum is proud to present the World Premiere of Tunnel of Hope.
A Documentary Film Directed & Produced by Dror Shwartz &Co-Produced by Michael Kagan
Tunnel of Hope is the untold story of the escape by 230 Jewish slave workers from the Novogrudok work camp on the night of September 26th 1943. It is one of the greatest escapes that took place during the Second World War.
Tunnel of Hope relates the exploits of the 250 men and women who came to the terrifying realization that the only thing left, after witnessing the murders of entire families, friends and communities, was to literally dig for their lives.
Tunnel of Hope is not only about their story, it is also the story of the survivors’ children and grandchildren who grew up, for some in the shadow, and for others in the light of this amazing achievement.
The screening will be followed by a Q & A with the co-producer Michael Kagan and Jack Borowski from Melbourne, both who are sons of escapees.
