March 18 2020: COVID-19 Update

The health and safety of our survivors, visitors, staff and volunteers are of the utmost importance.

To support efforts to slow the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus), the MHM has suspended all public events and will close the doors to the museum at 4pm today (Wednesday 18 March).

The Selwyn Street site of the MHM was due to close at the end of next week for redevelopment of the new museum. This early closure is in the interests of the wellbeing of everyone. We anticipate the new museum opening in about two years.

As COVID-19 continues to spread globally, we are closely monitoring this situation. We remain vigilant. We will announce any other changes to program or operations through all our regular channels, including email, social media, and on our website.

We hope you stay healthy and remain socially connected through this trying time. Our thoughts are with the Holocaust survivors in the community. If you know any, please reach out to them and offer them assistance. We will be checking in on our survivor friends throughout this time.
