About this event

We invite you to join us for the commemoration of International Holocaust Remembrance Day and the Liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau on Tuesday 27 January 2026.

The theme this year is Bridging Generations, reminding us that the responsibility of remembrance does not end with the survivors; it lives on through their children, their grandchildren, and through all of us. ‘Bridging Generations’ is a call-to-action.

It invites us to engage actively with the past: to listen, to learn, and to carry those lessons forward. In doing so, we transform memory into responsibility, building a bridge between history and hope, between remembrance and action.

This year’s event we are pleased to have Holocaust survivor Joe Szwarcberg and his family on a panel discussion moderated by Dr Simon Holloway.
