Roza has been an active member of the CSH group for many years, together with her daughter Margarita (CSH official photographer) who passed away two months ago.
For those who may not have known Roza personally, her Holocaust story appears in the 3rd CSH Anthology A Point in Time as well as the 4th and latest CSH anthology In the Sunset of My Days.
Roza and Margarita were internationally published authors and had just completed their latest book, Ethics in the Pandemic: Myths and Realities of the Covid Pandemic.
I had the privilege of reviewing the book through the writing process.
Roza’s Holocaust story is one of gratitude to the non-Jewish family who took her in as their own child; Roza never forgot their great sacrifice to keep her alive through desperate times.
It was just last Tuesday Roza and I had a long conversation; I was really proud of her for her fortitude and spirit after losing her daughter to cancer.
Her great granddaughter Rosie gave Roza another reason to smile and laugh as Roza shared the latest antics of this much-loved little child.
We will miss your wisdom and joy of life Roza as we miss Margarita’s love of all things beautiful, particularly in nature.
