Escape from Destiny

Barbara BARAC

About this book
Escape From Destiny tells of the experiences of Barbara Barac, a Jew from Rovno, Poland, during World War II. It commences on June 28, 1941, with the arrival of German troops into Rovno. Barbara was witness to the German invasion, and experienced the increasingly difficult conditions for Jews, ending with the liquidation of the Jews of the ghetto and the ghetto's destruction in July 1942. From this point, the book documents the author and her daughter Miri’s transient efforts in the Ukraine to stay alive.
