Special Exhibition 2-15 July 2018  – “Jewish Life in Germany Today”

The Melbourne Holocaust Museum looks forward to hosting this special exhibition which combines the historical and contemporary aspects of living as a member of the Jewish community in Germany.

Over the past two decades, the Jewish population in Germany has grown from fewer than 30,000 in 1990 to more than 200,000 today.

Jewish Life in Germany Today brings these numbers to life. In concise and striking statements visualised with 25 poster panels, Jews explain what living in Germany means to them, how the history of the Holocaust influenced their personal lives, and the dreams they have for their future in Germany. From students to best-selling authors, to rabbis and entrepreneurs, their biographies reflect the diversity of the German-Jewish community today and are a testament to the transformation that Germany has undergone as a nation since World War Two.
