Critical Thinking is Critical: Educate, Innovate & Advocate against antisemitism and hate speech. 

Applications are now open for young people in Years 9 – 12 to join the MHM Youth Committee.  

The Youth Committee will be an opportunity for young people to share ideas, opinions, and strategies about social cohesion, antisemitism, hate speech and belonging.  

There are 12 vacant positions with a maximum of two representatives from each school. Members will be appointed for a 3 term period in 2025.  

Members of the Youth Committee can be recruited in a number of ways: 

  • A teacher might refer a student to the Committee  
  • Students who have been through the MHM schools’ program can apply to be a Youth Committee member  
  • Students with a particular interest in history, human rights and/or the Holocaust are also encouraged to apply.

  • What are you studying at school?
  • Why are you interested in joining the MHM Youth Committee?
  • Why do you think social cohesion is important for young people in Victoria?
  • What skills, knowledge or experience do you believe you can bring to the Youth Committee?
  • How have you been involved in community before – either your school community or another community, eg, a sporting club, a musical ensemble etc
  • Anything else you want us to know about you?
