Since MHM was established in 1984, our volunteers have been the lifeblood of our organisation – and integral to our day-to-day operations. If you want to support our mission and make an impact in the community, we invite you to join our MHM volunteer team.

We welcome people from diverse backgrounds and communities. From students to job seekers to retirees, our volunteers have varied skill and knowledge levels.

How do I become a volunteer?
If you are interested in volunteering at MHM, we welcome you to register below for an information session. If the area you’re interested in is not featured, or you cannot attend the information session on one of the specified dates, please complete our volunteer expression of interest form here, and a member of staff will be in touch.
Please note, to become a volunteer, you must:
- Be over 18 years of age
- Pass a National Police Check and/or a Third-Party Security Check
- Hold a current Victorian Working with Children Check
- Commit to at least one day per month
- Agree to the values and policies of Melbourne Holocaust Museum
